Growing a business is hard, but it seems even harder for Black entrepreneurs

Are you

Searching for small business advice and inspiration from Black entrepreneurs, online business owners and side-hustlers, so you can learn from them and not make similar mistakes?

Or

Desperate to find Black-owned businesses (often neglected by the mainstream) in the UK / African Diaspora offering culturally diverse products/services, so you feel like someone actually created something with you in mind?

Those are the main reasons why I, Adelina, started this platform

Ad+s Diaspora: snippets of an African diaspora legacy.

You’re probably thinking, ‘yeah but COVID screwed up lots of businesses!’

So here are some pre-COVID stats.

Did you know that 28% of Black business owners did not make a profit in 2019 vs 16% of White business owners in the UK?*

I’m a copywriter strategist and NCTJ-qualified freelance journalist

Here I’m getting ready to interview another great small business for my podcast

I wanted to hear positive stories about Black people often lacking in mainstream Western media, so decided to be the change I wanted to see and find them myself!

Why?

Because I’m just like you!

You want to see people who look like you, fighting back against the negative stats so you can dismiss your fears and start your own business.

You’re tired of feeling abandoned when having to search high and low to find culturally diverse products/services, rather than easily getting what you need just like everyone else.

You want to push for change regardless of your background and disrupt the economic status quo by supporting the underdog!

Things need to change

Imagine if you were not denied the tools you needed to grow your business because of your ethnic background.

Imagine if you created a level playing field, not by boycotting non-Black businesses but by making a conscious effort to support Black-owned businesses.

Give Black-owned businesses the visibility they deserve!

By buying from them.

I speak directly to Black entrepreneurs about their business experiences and give you all the info.

So, you can feel empowered and reliably informed to stop procrastinating and create your own financial freedom.

Of course, freedom isn’t all about stacking up those coins.

As the saying goes “health is wealth”, so you’ll find health stories on here too!

There are lots of gems in this treasure trove. All in one place. Just. For. You.

P.S. If you never want to miss out on small business advice and inspiration, let me know and I’ll email you.
